Sir Tomz began life in the rap crew Shadowless who had a big release on Big Dada Records. As an integral member of the crew, Tomz showed his skill on the mic and behind the boards achieving major attention from urban music lovers worldwide. Sir Tomz aka Shadowless Tomz went on to remix Roots Manuva's 'Bashment Boogie' for the Big Dada Records label compilation 'Extra Yard' which was mixed by DJ Excalibah, as well as the track 'Sky Fall' by Shadowless featuring on Tim Westwood's well respected CD compilation album 'UK Hip-Hop 2002 Vol.1'. Sir Tomz has also played live all over the UK, Spain and France as well as producing for other artists and guest featuring on other artists releases.
More recently Tomz has been back on his grind and making waves here in the UK and in the USA. Sir Tomz decided to remix five of the tracks from the album over industry beats and then dropped two music videos for them both having over 4000 hits on You Tube. The US unofficial remixes have been used on mixtapes from DJ Ames and Tricksta from UK Runnings, as well as featuring on the US released mixtape from DJ 5X & Coast2Coast Mixtapes entitled 'International Speaker Box 2' which was also hosted by Sir Tomz. He recently got commissioned to do a remix for Chicago label Knowledge Giving Birth (KGB) as well producing a ten track street album for MKD from Royalists. With a new energy and a new focus, Sir Tomz is bringing us back to reality. Bubblegum free, Sir Tomz is conscious Hip-Hop with a message and an artist with staying power.

We Are Augustines formed when McCarthy was still touring with theband Pela, during which time he and bandmate Eric Sanderson hadput together almost 40 demos. These demos were narrowed down to an album's worth of material. The band made two attempts at recording a new record before turmoil with the band's label, managerand amongst themselves combined with news of the suicide ofMcCarthy's brother to bring an end to the band. McCarthy and Sanderson decided to finish the record under the name We AreAugustines. The resulting album, Rise Ye Sinking Ships, is currently the subject of tremendous critical acclaim.

The Brothers of Brazil To Release New EP on May 15th!
On May 15th, 2012 the Brothers of Brazil will follow up their debut self-titledalbum with a new six song E.P titled On My Way. The duo has spent thelast year trekking all over the world playing shows and FILMING for their show "Brothers na Gringa" which airs on Mix TV in Brazil. It's that constantand never-ending shuffle that inspired the brothers to pen the tracks that would become On My Way.

The Two release Video for "Everyday"
French Indie Rock duo The Two just released the new video for their song "Everyday". This is the second single from their self-titled digital US release, which was released January 24th via CEN/RED Distribution, and follows suite from the release in their native France where it received rave reviews. The band's sound is undeniably chic, and extraordinarily intimate and unadorned. As The New York Times' T Magazine recently wrote "guitarist David Jarre's guitar is as smooth as any familiar rock'n'roll riff, but its Ara Starck's raspy, untrained voice that gives their music it's magnetism.
The band also recently release a free download of their first single "I Wanna Be With You Again", which was the first song The Two recorded together back in 2009. Their self-titled debut album is a reminder of the magic of uncluttered melody, primary sound colors and simple words. It is, in large part, the strength, elegance and naturalness of The Two's vocal harmonies that distinguish their sound. The music reveals their individual and shared charms, melancholy and solitude. The near 20 date tour comes in support of their recently released fourth full length album Velociraptor!, which came out this past September on Columbia Records. For years, they blended in very well, so it was hard to spot them. However, with the continuing Global Warming Crisis, the glaciers began to melt away, exposing our little friends. Once we finally spotted them, we made a pact with these Marshmallows that remains to this very day. They would help promote our music to the people, in exchange for a promise of safety from being eaten. Oh, how the marshmallows fear human teeth!!! They hid, shivering amongst the glaciers for thousands of years... Yes, THOUSANDS OF YEARS!!! Because they are so heavily processed, these high fructose corn syrup gods are immortal! Coming out of Brockton/Boston, MA, USA comes this talented duo known as Notoriety. Notoriety is a two man group consisting of emcees Vital Silveira: Vydle Sinez and Charles Monfort: Incredible Chuck. Growing up down the street from each other, Vydle and Chuck had been close friends, almost like brothers, since the two were children. Each had come in connection with their passion for music at an early age as the pair had unique/individual talents to showcase this - Chuck rapping/...beatboxing on the street and in talent shows, and Vydle rhyming /developing a matured flow early on. As the years built, the friendship grew, and the abilities escalated, Notoriety soon emerged in 2009.
Along with several singles, Notoriety currently has three mixtapes (not including the new release) available for download: "The Toast", "The J.A.M. (Just A Mixtape)" and "Part Deux (Hosted By Statik Selektah)" which was released on Valentine's Day of 2011. The group writes daily, records weekly, and all production, recording, mixing/mastering, and business takes place in-house, independently. Notoriety recently won the first round of "2012 Hard Rock Rising Star", a battle of the band competition spanning across 86 cities in the United States. Mind you, they neither have a band, nor are a rock group. The duo is the only Hip Hop group involved in the contest. They will advance to Boston's final round on 4.1.2012, in hopes of winning the grand prize of playing at the Hard Rock Cafe in London's historic Hyde Park. They have also performed at Collegefest 2011 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA, US in front of 17,000 people, and worked with DJ Statik Selektah, Rapper Big Pooh (of Little Brother), and Joe Scudda.

Slow Roast Sessions NYC & New Codes Remixes!
In celebration for the launch of the official Slow Roast Records NYC party we are giving out a brand new Moombah to House transition remix of "Dying"! This Thursday March 8th Slow Roast, The Wilkes Agency and Socialight are proud to present the first installment of "Roast Session" at Tammany Hall in the LES of New York City.
It is my pleasure to introduce to you one of Western Canada's fastest rising Indie Pop acts Imaginary Cities. The Winnipeg based quintet have becomea favorite of the Canadian blogosphere, with their blending of expansive poprock and the soulful vocals of singer Marti Sarbit. The band can trace its originsback to a bar called the Cavern in Winnipeg where Sarbit was fronting a Motowncover band, and the band's other primary songwriter Rusty Maytas was mixing sound for the evening. Maytas was immediately captured by Sarbit's vocals, and was compelled to commit her voice to tape. The Kickdrums release "Want My Blood" featuring Rockie Fresh x DZ Deathrays Trash x
DOWNLOAD: Want My Blood Brooklyn-based production duo The KickDrumshave released "Want MyBlood", the first single off their highly anticipated new mixtape Follow The Leaders due out mid-March. The track features Rockie Fresh, the much buzzed about 20 year-old Chicago emcee and Australian fuzz-rockers DZ Deathrays.
The KickDrums are known for their unique blending of indie rock, soul and hip hop, which has led to them becoming a respected band and one of the most in demand production teams in the hip hop world . The music video features the talents of street artist Mr Tronix who does an amazing piece of graffiti with the tracks title. Austin-based orchestral pop ensemble Mother Falcon have released the video for their new single "Just To See Her Smile". This is the second video released from theirhighly anticipated debut album Alhambra, set for a national digital release February21st via Rampant Arts. While the first video from the record, for the track "Alligator Teeth",was based completely off of a live performance, this new video features more of a backstory set to the narrative of a school play.
Mother Falcon has developed a cult following in their native Austin, receiving as many accolades for their innovative film scoring as for their electric live rock clubperformances. The 18 piece collective has become known for making full use ofthe large size of their lineup, which includes several multi-instrumentalists andvocal contributions from the majority of it's members. Alright... so we've gathered enough street teamers to get things rolling. Welcome to the Aunt Ange street team! This is very special, as you are a select few who can make a big impact on our culture. Together with you, we will build something very special! We are family, and we must work together in order to bring about a positive change in the music scene. That is what Aunt Ange is all about... making an impact. At first, it will be on a smaller scale. But as these missions grow and expand, this impact will become much larger indeed. So, that being said, here is your first mission:
If you haven't seen it already, Aunt Ange has recently been chosen to be a part of The Hard Rock Rising contest, in which we may have the opportunity to play the Hard Rock in NY, and in London. But we need votes in order to make this happen. That is where you come in! All you have to do is vote, tell your friends to vote, and tell them to tell their friends to vote as well. Post it everywhere... a.k.a. facebook, myspace, twitter, etc. Anywhere and everywhere. Even more effective is word of mouth. Have your friends and family take a quick moment on their iphones to place a vote for us. I will attach the link ( which leads to the Hard Rock facebook page.). The recent weeks have seen an influx of covers for the massive single Somebody That I Used To Know by Australia's hottest up-and-comingartist Gotye (featuring Kimbra). The original video has received almost44 million views and some of the larger covers, such as the four featuredabove have also reached viral status. The originality of Gotye's brand of art-pop has also seemingly sparked the creativity of his fellow artists and it shows in their own interpretations of the single. For their cover, Walk Off The Earth has each of the band's five members performing a part of the song on only one shared acoustic guitar. The Hip Hop world has also taken note of the song, with Dice Raw and STS both incorporating the song as a beat for new tracks. Perhaps the biggest cover to date camewhen The Big Pink covers the track for their recent BBC Live Lounge Session.
Gotye's most recent album Making Mirrors has been certified two timesplatinum in Australia, and will be released in the United States January 31st via Samples'N'Sounds/Fairfax Recordings/Universal Republic. Hehas been selling out concerts all over Australia and has already receivedearly support from American tastemakers such as Pitchfork and KCRW, who featured the album on their "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show. MTVBuzzworthy clearly stated their fanship when they described Gotye as "justabout one of the coolest artists we've come across in a hot second. His styleis almost hard to define we could say indie folk, we could say indie pop, wecould say indie alternative, but what we really wanna say is that it's just prettyeffinf amazing."
Gotye made a brief trip stateside this past fall for the CMJ Festival, where he was among the most buzzed about artists. The ensemble began to coalesce around multi-instrumentalist and composer Nick Gregg nearly nine years ago, while he was a twelve year old cello student at The Austin Chamber Music Center. Over the ensuing years, Mother Falcon grew as Nick met other students from youth orchestras around Austin and invited them to collaborate. While Gregg, along with Claire Puckett (Guitar/Piano), Tamir Khalifa (Accordion/PIano) and Isaac Winburne (Percussion/Sax) still serves as the creative core,as the band evolves each member has begun to contribute musically.

Guster Announce Tour with Comedian Jeff Garlin
Alt-pop icons Gusterhave announced that their first bout of touring for 2012 willhave an interesting twist. The band will be undertaking a 17 date tour kicking offMarch 10th in Salt Lake City, the majority of which will find them accompanied by comedian Jeff Garlin of Curb Your Enthusiasm. These dates will feature not only an acoustic Guster set and stand-up routine from Jeff Garlin, but also collaborative moments between the two, making each a unique experience for those in attendance.While this concept might come as unexpected there is actually a history between the band and comedian, including a joint podcast series which can be streamed here.
Guster will be touring in support of their latest EP On The Ocean, while Jeff willbe renewing his legendary stand-up act for the tour. The band has been buildinga cult-like following over the past 15 years, and have displayed remarkable artisticgrowth over their past few releases. In fact, the band views the release of On The Ocean's predecessor 'Easy Wonderful' as a turning point in their career, from whichthey have emerged as "stronger players, writers and record makers".

Watch: Collaboration with David Wilson Keaton Henson, one of the most compelling up-an-coming singer-songwriters to emerge in recent times, hasannounced the details for his first ever headline show (with a twist). Keaton will release an innovative seriesof online live music experiences, which may be as close to seeing him perform as the majority of us will havefor quite some time. Following an incapacitating bout with stage fright last year, Keaton made the decision to connect with his audience on his own terms, rather than undertake the traditionally thought of approach to liveperformances. Our first taste of the results will be "Forts", the first of the series of online music experiencesthat will give us a clue as to what's to come for Keaton.
'Forts' is neither a streamed session, a music video, nor a traditional live gig...though it does contain elementsof all these things. 'Forts' is Keaton's own twist on the shared gigging experience, and is designed to retain the intimacy of listening to a record whilst capturing the excitement of a live performance. To experience 'Forts', visitors should tune to Keaton's website on Sunday December 18 at 8 PM GMT. Though details are scarce,we know Henson will play a 20 minute set from inside a childlike fort, decorated with items dear to him. 'Forts' follows a performance on BBC Radio 1's Festive Festival, which aired on Monday December 12 from Maida Vale Studios. The release of Keaton's stunning debut album "Dear..." is also approaching, as itsbeen given an official release date of February 27. The album will be preceded by the new single 'Charon' onFebruary 20, the darkly comic video for which has already received over 90,000 views.
